Answer the corporate client asking you for ESG as a supplier
The real problem
Large European companies in CSRD scope must report their Scope 3 emissions and their value chain. To do so, they ask their suppliers for ESG data. The request no longer comes only from the bank: it comes from the lead company's procurement, from the third-party ESG platforms that clients and supply chains use to qualify suppliers, and from private tenders where sustainability is a selection criterion. An unstructured or outdated answer can lower your supplier score or weaken your qualification.
What you're asked for
Three prevailing formats. First, a proprietary questionnaire from the corporate client, often built on top of ESRS but administered as a supplier ESG self-assessment. Second, an invitation to populate fields on a supplier-assessment platform used by the lead company, where the data is then visible to the clients that adopt that platform. Third, ad-hoc email requests on specific data such as Scope 1 and 2 estimates, renewable-energy percentage, code of ethics, Model 231, human-rights policy. The content covers the VSME Basic Module in full and relevant portions of the Comprehensive, such as strategy, ESG practices and policies, workers in the value chain and severe human-rights incidents.
How VSME-PRO turns it into a dossier
The workflow builds the supplier's VSME fascicolo once, then adapts it to the required formats. The logic matches the bank pathway, but the scope is broader because the corporate client is not assessing creditworthiness, it is assessing supply-chain risk profile. Evidence is organised into a structured archive because the real value is annual reuse: the same fascicolo feeds requests from different corporate clients in the same supply chain, with targeted adaptations to each client's specific fields.

A VSME-aligned fascicolo in a modular format that adapts to multiple destinations: a structured PDF for the client who reads it offline, a structured dataset to reuse when the client asks for similar fields on different platforms or templates, and an operator brief with a quality check on the areas of uncertainty.
