The same data may help different recipients. That does not make the same answer suitable for everyone. These are illustrative examples, not results achieved by VSME-PRO customers.
1. A bank requests ESG information
An SME receives a questionnaire with a deadline and reporting period. It identifies answers supported by existing sources and those needing further checks.
VSME can provide a common basis. The PMI-Banks/VSME interoperability table supports comparison of references; it does not make every questionnaire identical or require a bank to accept a particular file.
The useful outcome is a consistent, supportable response. A financing discount cannot be assumed.
2. A corporate customer updates its supplier register
The customer asks for consumption, workforce information and policies. The supplier prepares a relevant extract identifying period and sources.
Before submission, it checks that a group-wide statement is not presented as site-specific evidence. If certification is requested, a VSME report does not replace it: the supplier explains the difference.
3. Several customers request similar data in different formats
A supply-chain business keeps a central inventory and maps customer questions to its indicators. A responsible person reviews each proposed match rather than assuming similar wording means an identical definition.
A new requested period requires an update. A changed definition requires recalculation or review. The business also retains the version actually sent to each recipient.
Beyond banks and supply chains
The same inventory may support investor assessment, public-sector procedures, corporate communication or proactive advisory work. Each has its own criteria: a report does not replace a tender's specific requirements.
Share relevant, checked information and distinguish facts, estimates and targets.
Start with the data inventory, then the banking evidence pack.
