Biennial gender equality report
Over 50 employees: the 2024–2025 report is due by 30 April 2026.
Source: Art. 46 D.lgs. 198/2006 (Codice delle pari opportunità), come modificato dalla L. 162/2021
Who it applies to
Public and private companies with more than 50 employees. The threshold was lowered by Law 162/2021: it previously applied above 100 employees, so many companies entered the scope without noticing. Below 50, filing remains possible on a voluntary basis.
What you must do
- Collect workforce data broken down by gender for the two-year reference period.
- Fill in the report on the Ministry of Labour portal, in the required format.
- Send it to the company union representatives and to the regional Equality Councillor.
- Keep the receipt and the underlying data: they are the evidence base if challenged.
When
Every two years. The report covering 2024–2025 is due by 30 April 2026.
What you need at hand
- Headcount by gender, grade and contract type
- Hires, terminations, promotions and grade changes over the two years
- Training hours delivered, by gender
- Actual pay, by grade and gender
The same data, reused
How it connects to the VSME dossier
These are largely the same figures required by the VSME Basic module: B8 (workforce characteristics: contracts, gender, turnover) and B10 (remuneration, collective bargaining, training). Preparing the biennial report already covers much of what B8 and B10 need.
organises this data once and makes it reusable for banks, clients and tenders. It does not issue certifications, ratings or assurance.
